Another Returning Person

Hi, TG Long time no see. Or type. Or something.

I've been absent from here and the rest of the dolling world for a couple of years now- I discovered a lot of new interests, and dolling just kind of fell by the wayside.

But a couple of days ago I got a comment notification from here- it was Elstraaya sending me a happy birthday message. I got this sudden rush of nostalgia and thought "I must return to dolling! I must!" Although I'm not sure how successful a return it'll be, seeing as I now have a laptop and the thought of dolling without a mouse is very daunting.

So, er, hi to everyone I remember and all the people who have joined during my absence!

Purple and green

I'm just exhausted XD But I finally managed to pixel shade on a Moe base! I've never succeeded before, it's always just gone horribly wrong.

It's... baseless?

Oh yes. Yes, it is. *trumpet fanfare* My first baseless doll ever- I think it turned out pretty good, all things considered XD Ok, I'm absolutely ecstatic about this, seriously. I'm bouncing up and down in my seat and I've got this huge grin on my face. Yay.




NO BASE! Muahaha, I've been waiting to write that.

T'was inspired a lot by this pic, and originally I had planned to do the pinstripes, but... they looked tacky. I'm still not happy with the bottom skirt, I may go back and edit it when I'm feeling a bit more relaxed XD And I've just realised the hands look funny because they're not holding onto anything. Ho-hum.

So yeah. CC, comments, and general worshipping are all accepted.

I've been dolling pretty constantly lately, but I spend ages on dolls and then never finish them. And then BAM! Suddenly I start pixelshading for no reason, and this little baby pops out in an hour or two.



Base

Don't concentrate on the hair, or the weirdness of the pinstripes on the bodice, just look at the poufy skirts and rejoice that I actually had the perseverance to finish XD

My entry for Chaos' Hogwarts Student contest, .png because at the moment GIMP tends to transform all my .gifs into something that looks like it was made by a blind Picasso-wannabe. So that explains the crazy background colour.



I've found that shoes are much easier to doll when they're not on feet XD I'm quite proud of all of them. They all started off hideously, horribly bad, but ended up pretty reasonable. Not altogether fond of the school uniform- the folds are very off and the buckle steals focus. I'm rather in love with the formal doll as she started out especially hideous but turned out beautiful.
