I love pageants, but I always end up dropping out due to laziness or school work. But I hope to get to the next (or next two) rounds for MDH this year. I've dolled Margot Fonteyn, the lovelyamazing ballet dancer. I was going to pick someone else, someone from an earlier era, to do a big dress, but I picked Fonteyn because, me being a dancer, it's more personal. I wouldn't have thought to doll a dancer for MDH, so I just had to pick her when I saw it on the list.
But you don't care about that... ![]() I have to say, I'm quite happy with her. All pixel shaded. I always pixel shade, but sometimes I cheat with a bit of GIMPage. Didn't this time though. I struggled with the shoes, but I think they've ended up decent enough. I like the coat and the hair on the full figure, but the portrait I'm not loving so much. I really don't like doing big dolls or portraits. Anything big or close up just doesn't work for me. The hair, I don't think looks too bad. Shirt, meh. But God, I hate face edits. This looks nothing like Fonteyn, but I tried. Throw me your CC. I won't change anything. I've already entered her. Plus I've spent way too much time staring at the computer screen working on this. But I'd love to hear anything you've got. base portrait base

So, I'm starting an rp board, London Times, set in Victorian era, mostly (but not exclusively) focused on the run-down side of London. I've been slowly setting it up on my own, looking for a co-admin all the while. Haven't been successful, and I don't like to resort to asking for help from TG, but I know that, if I find a volunteer from TG, that person will be nice, as everyone here tends to be

QUOTE Object: Make a doll based on a statue or sculpture. "Based on" is open to interpretation, but it should be pretty obvious how the doll represents the statue. Whether or not it looks like an actual statue or sculpture is completely up to you. I think that sums it up... more info here. Deadline is 10 entries, but I'm very wishy washy when it comes to deciding a deadline.

So this here is a drawing part of a larger concentration having to do with people in strange/contorted body positions, for an art class. I was supposed to crank out a few pieces for my concentration this past week, spring break, but I kind of just spent time doing nothing. So I worked on this throughout the day. I'm not sure if it's finished... it may need some tweaking, but I'm done for the day, at least.
![]() White charcoal on grey paper. I'm pretty happy with the jar and the background, but the figure is rough. And that's not good. If you have any criticism or suggestions, go ahead; I'll probably be touching it up here and there this coming week. But I'm very happy that I actually got this much done on such a nice day (now I want to go outside!). Now to do math homework....
