You've heard of NaNoWriMo, you've heard of Thing-A-Day, you've heard of Script Frenzy, now, from the creative mind of our own Xandorra, there's a month-long project for dollers!
People can sign up all this week, then if they are in, they can pick up a siggy pin on Saturday May 1st and start! I expect we'll see a lot of small dolls, but that's fine! This should be less about masterpiece dolls, and more about getting in the habit of dolling regularly. Siggy pins: ![]() Rules: - Each doll must be new - No size limits - All your MADADIM dolls go in one thread (so MADADIMs don't flood out other dolls from people who are not playing). I might have a thread titled 'Meguey's MADADIMs', and I'd post all dolls and take all comments on my MADADIMs in that thread. - You do not have to post every day, just doll every day and post as often as you can. You are on your honor about this (Thanks for a good question, Pudi!) Sign up in this thread, and get ready to DOLL! Members who are playing MADADIM this year: Frog Turtlina Daenerys Krystaline Pudi Calandra Libby Edonil Nymph KitsuneNekogirl Episkey Meguey Hwesta AnnaKin Dolaria Serenawolf Amber Eveli |

Yes! I did something similar for my end of the year holiday calendar and it is a great way to improve your dollmaking skills.
I am signing up! |

I'm sooo busy in May, it's such a shame since I love the idea, but I don't think i've got the time. I'll be watching from the sidelines though! *cheerleader, woo!*

Oh wow.
I'd love to try this, but I don't know if I could pull it off. Maybe if it was 1 doll every 2 days? Lol. |

I have exams in may so it's probably not a great idea for me to join in!
I might try something like it in June though (By myself XD) |

*wibbles* It usually takes me days to make a single doll, but... I guess I can try. I might end up making itsy bitsy chibis though.
Also - we don't have to post every day do we? I expect to be offline for a week or so, but I should still be able to doll during that time. Are we just on an honor system then? This post has been edited by Pudi: Apr 29 2010, 12:53 AM |

This sounds awesome, but considering how fast I doll, I don't think there's any way I could participate--maybe I'll shoot for a doll a week, that sounds doable, haha.
Good luck and have fun |

Pudi, that's a good question. You are on your honor to doll every day, and post as often as you can. If you're away from a computer you can post form, just date the dolls when you do post them.

I suppose I will. I only have 1 class in May, even if it is every day, so I should be able to manage it.

I suggest some planning, if you are going to be entering. It may feel controlfreakish, but I personally spend the most time thinking about what to doll, before I even start. So I have themes for each week.
I also picked out the bases already. Small ones, because there is NO WAY I can find time to make a medium doll every day. I have estimated that between work, study and social life, I'll have one hour a day to doll. A little more on the weekends. I see nothing wrong with working on WIPs in the weekend which I will finish on the day I publish. Otherwise, it won't be doable for me. I hope that is not against the rules, Meguey? Anyway, I am all excited about this! I'l be doing my Rocky run today, dolling a little here and there in preparation, while listening to eye of the tiger... No I wont. I'll be celebrating Queen's day in the Netherlands... On with the party! |

Daenerys, that all sounds good; you're more organized than I am! Yes, you can finish a WIP, and having some bases you want to use seems smart, too.

I can't participate...my sister in law is getting married this next Saturday, and everyone is staying at MY HOUSE. Plus, I have finals the week after that. But AFTER that point, I will have time to doll regularly. I'm hoping to get MDF up and running this summer too, all streamlined and like, so maybe I'll lay of the contest for now.

I want to sign up too! ^-^ I don't really do small dolls though.. :I Oh well! :D I want to doll skirts and dresses for once... :I Maybe I actually will without doing the tool shading thing (Toolshading is my last resort, sorry all toolshaders! D:) But you know...I may not doll everyday..SOLs are coming up so I really have to study...also I am kind of addicted to a site and its kind of hard to get away from it... :I BUT~! :D I will try! And hopefully succeed. xD And...sorry for not posting many dolls anymore, I seem to be posting them mainly on my dA account, which now has a lot of my real life drawings on it. xD HAha! >D Its just because I haven't finished a doll yet... :I Started so many... x.x

Do bases count or do they have to be finished dolls?
And I am working on my first doll, but I've been out all day - still three hours to go! |

Bit of a latecomer, but sound like buckets of fun. No idea how much I'll get done, since it's quite busy around here and I'm not always at my dolling computer, but I'll give it a shot! Get back into doing preps.
